Church no longer swears by 'total accuracy' of Bible

It is amazing to see how fast Christian religious leaders put up the white flag of surrender and teach unbelief. I look at this in contrast to faith found among the devoted followers of evolution. The bases of Darwinian Macro Evolution is "incremental change". The only hard evidence is the fossil record. It is well known that fossil records do not bare out evolution. Does this cause the evolutionist any doubts? Nope.

Here is how the evolutionist theologians/scientist explain away the fossil record, "According to current theory, the bursts of adaptive radiation that punctuate the periods of evolutionary stasis tend to involve species with more rapid generation times. Such species in turn tend to be smaller species with more delicate structures that are less likely to be preserved, and small populations at the periphery of the geographic range of the group, whose individuals are less likely to be fossilized because of their rarity."

This kind of faith displayed by heathen should not be a surprise. God tells us in Jeremiah, "Has a nation changed its gods, which yet are no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit."

God states in Deuteronomy 28 that believers would be defeated and dismayed before their enemies if they walked in unbelief and unfaithfulness.

"The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth."

In contrast to these weak leaders who smear the Word of God, I think of Caleb. Caleb was one of the original 12 spies who Moses sent out to search the Promise Land. The other spies came back with the accurate reports that the Anakims were a strong powerful race living in fortified cities. In their human wisdom and strength, the Anakim could not be defeated. This is a reasonable assessment, but devoid of faith. In contrast, Caleb believed God's Word and trusted that the Lord would provide the victory.

"And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it."

Unfortunately, the people of Israel refused to believe Caleb and followed human reason to their death. After patiently waiting 40 years in the Wilderness, Caleb came into the Promise Land and led the victorious fight against the cities inhabited by the Anakims until they were destroyed.

May God give us more leaders like Caleb and the wisdom to faithfully follow them.
